James R. Allen
Project Manager, Estimator

James joined Mar Lan Construction in early 2005 as Estimator and Project Manager. Prior to working with us, he was Project Manager for Kansas Building Systems in Topeka. James earned his BS in Construction Science at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. He also completed an OSHA-30 certification class at Kansas State University.

James has been active in the construction industry for much of his life. His background includes experience as a concrete finisher, concrete foreman, carpenter and carpenter foreman as well as returning to college to earn his Construction Science Degree.

Major projects James has been involved with include the Tallgrass-McElroy Medical Office Building in Topeka, Kansas; Air National Guard Hanger #662 at Forbes Field in Topeka; The Charles Curtis State Office Building in Topeka; and Rock Creek Gymnasium Addition in Wamego, Kansas. James served as Project Manage for Frontier Farm Credit's new facilities in Baldwin, Kansas and Manhattan, Kansas. He has also served as Project Manager for Mar Lan Construction's involvement with Ad Veritas Construction on multiple projects at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas.
