Downtown 2000 Mixed Use Building 947 New Hampshire Lawrence, Kansas This four-story building is the second phase of the Downtown 2000 Redevelopment project in Lawrence, Kansas. It followed on the heels of the parking garage located next door. This 30,000 square foot building is a multi-use building housing loft apartments on the third and fourth floors, and offices for the City of Lawrence on the second floor. Owners planned for retail space, currently occupied by AT&T Wireless Services, on the western half of the first floor as well as a restaurant, Pepperjax Grill, which is located on the eastern half of the first floor. The building structure consists of spread footings with a structural steel frame. The exterior walls are framed with light gauge steel, and are faced with a combination of brick, stone, EIFS, and curtain-wall windows.
