Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation - Judicial Council Building 11400 158th Rd Mayetta, Kansas This Design-Build project consists of a 4,400+ square foot single story building that houses a courtroom with state of the art audio-video courtroom system as well as judicial administration, judge's quarters, and office space with jury and conference rooms. Exterior feature include a banded EIFS façade, Kansas thin limestone veneer, cedar-wrapped trusses, and natural daylight skylights in the courtroom. Ground source geothermal well system services the heating and cooling to the building. A solar photovoltaic system was installed on the roof to supplement the building's electrical energy supply. The approach to the building is highlighted by a 60" round, 2" thick granite insert with the building name engraved in the surface.
