Pioneer Hi-Bred 1451 N. 1823 Rd. Lawrence, Kansas This design-build project was to provide a 17,200 square foot research facility for Pioneer Hi-Bred in North Lawrence. The building consists of 3,200 SF of office space, 10,000 SF of warehouse, and 4,000 SF of actual research area. The building holds a seed handling room for counting soybeans with high intensity lighting and a vacuum system, a cold room for seed storage with HVAC systems to maintain 50°F and 50% humidity 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, and a threshing room for soybean production and analysis from the field.
