Because this location is one of the most popular in Topeka, the drive-thru had to remain open during the entire construction phase. A steel substructure with concrete footings was installed around the building to allow new wood roof trusses to be put in place. The old drive-thru was removed and a new larger and wider drive-thru established. The old flat roof became a new Scotch blue standing seam metal roof. Walls changed from stucco to Nichiha® fiber cement panels and a new aluminum storefront replaced old windows. The interior sales area was also enlarged.
