BIOSCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS CENTER / KU INNOVATION PARK (KUIP)
Lawrence, Kansas

The Bioscience & Technology Business Center, currently known as KU Innovation Park or KUIP,  is a partnership among the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas Department of Commerce, University of Kansas, and the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, to support the bioscience and technology industries in northeastern Kansas.  The main facility is located on the University of Kansas West Campus.  The incubator facility expansion resulted through a collaborative effort of the University of Kansas Endowment Association, University of Kansas Center for Research, City of Lawrence, and Douglas County.

The two-story expansion project adds 30,000 square feet of space.  The building addition has a walkout basement on the large addition for future expansion. The site includes a well-landscaped multi-level courtyard and a living green roof. The façade is a combination of glass and metal wall panels. The new additions add both wet and dry labs, support rooms, collaboration rooms, business bar, kitchenettes and new restroom facilities.

Polished concrete floors, decorative glass handrails, wood wall panels and interior butt-glazed floor-to-ceiling glass walls and doors accent the interiors of this contemporary style professional technology center.
