Mar Lan Construction was selected as the contractor to build the new assisted living facility, Homestead of Eudora, in nearby Eudora, Kansas.
The exterior of the 40,000 square foot structure is warm and aesthetically pleasing. The combination of stone, siding, and colors really helps give the building depth and texture.
Once inside, the interior is bright with windows everywhere, including clerestory windows both at the entry and in the dining area that allow lots of indirect light. Large comfortable and inviting gathering spaces within for the residents and their guests help create a home-like atmosphere. Lighting that is interesting architecturally and also brightens the spaces increases the enjoyment of the indoors. Resident’s rooms that accommodate many different levels of care, and yet feel like home, have been created. There are a total of 55 rooms of which 35 are assisted living units, and 20 memory-care units. There are large, bright bathrooms, small kitchenettes all with inviting colors that make up the interior.
